What will Chicago’s own Jill Thompson do next? Well, here is a recent article about Jill’s signing a four book deal with HarperCollins. Jill is an awesome comic artist, writer, and illustrator behind such titles as Scary Godmother and Mick Foley’s Halloween Hijinx. Not only is she uber talented, but super nice ta boot! Her work can be bought online through the usual suspects or from a local comic or book shop.

In other book related news, yet another Punk Rocker has turned author. Except this time it looks like they might be successful - eat your heart out Ben Weasel. Dr. Frank of the Mr. T Experience has penned his first novel, King Dork, and has been receiving a considerable amount of buzz. I have yet to read it (I’m alergic to Hardcovers, you know) but will as soon as an easily digestable format presents itself.
P.S. What’s up with the lead singers of all of these Ramone-a-Clone bands becoming authors? Check out the aforementioned punkers/writers and their bands; add a dash of George Tab and Furious George for fun.
